Book Review
"Hand Dryers taps into our curiosity for what everyday objects look like in different parts of the country, or indeed the world. ... The book makes for an interesting anthropological study just the thing for a bit of light reading on the loo (before, of course, using the hand dryer)." --Creative Review
"It's filled with photos of different types of hand drying apparatus from all over the world. Ryde believes that each hand dryer is unique with its own story to tell, which is why he decided to photograph hundreds of them." --Londonist
About the Author
Samuel Ryde is a British documentary photographer living in London, and travelling the world. Having studied photography until 2000, it has taken until now to show his first complete body of work, Hand Dryers. Samuel has an obsession to document the conventional parts of life we don't notice; his Instagram project @twelvethirtyfourpm is testament to this, an eight-year body of work in which Samuel took one photo everyday at 12.34pm
